Folding a Napkin Into a Simple Pocket

Of all of our envelope style napkin folds, the simple pocket is by far the easiest and fastest to fold. The simple pocket is perfect for hosting a casual lunch or dinner for family or friends and is both functional and classic. This fold works well with many of our cotton and linen dinner napkins. For best folding results, we suggest first ironing the napkins thoroughly with starch to ensure a more rigid napkin.

Suggested napkins for this folding style:
White Hemstitched Linen Dinner Napkins
Ecru Hemstitched Linen Dinner Napkins

	Step1 Iron the napkin flat.
	Step2 Fold the napkin in half and orient the open end toward you.
	Step3 Fold the napkin into quarters.
	Step4 Orient the napkin so the open corner is facing away and to the left. Fold the top-most layer of napkin in half diagonally and press it down.
	Step5 Turn the napkin over so that the open corner is now facing away and to the right. Fold the right-side back about 1/3 of the way and press it down.
	Step6 Fold the left-side back also about 1/3 of the way and press
	Step7 Flip the napkin over and insert your silverware.
